Calling all storytellers! To presumably celebrate the 193rd anniversary of the classic ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, Amazon have launched a new competition to find a modern version. This competition is open to everyone, entries should be between 350 and 700 words in length, and should be submitted by email to christmasonkindle@amazon.co.uk.
The closing date for entries is Nov 27, so the clock is ticking.
The prize for the winner is a £2,000 Amazon gift card [stop laughing down the back] and a Fire Tablet. The winning version will be given away free for 5 days after which the author will receive royalties of ‘up to 70%’. By which we imagine they mean 70%.
The winning story will be illustrated by Aless Baylis of This is Gold, which is, to be fair, quite cool.
