Last week saw the fantastic launch of Salthill: A History, a brilliant new take on the past of this historic area of Galway, by Paul McGinley.

The launch took place in the Galway Bay Hotel, with almost 300 people hearing from Professor Gearóid Ó Tuathaigh, Professor Emeritus at NUI Galway, as he officially launched this unique and comprehensive tribute to Salthill.
