One of the greatest literary weeks of the year is looming so, for anyone interested in books and writing, the place to be from the 1^st to the 5^th of June is Listowel. Tickets are on sale now. For writers, there are 2 weeks left to enter one of the many competitions, from full-length plays to poetry and essays. There is a prize fund of €40,000 in total.

‘What know ye about writing for Listowel?’ you ask. Fair question. Turns out our Publishing Director entered the Listowel Originals category last year, and won first place. Which was nice. He doesn’t like to brag about it though, and barely ever looks at the massive oversized cheque mounted on the office wall.
