Irish book sales increase in January

The Irish book trade has bounded into action like a spring lamb, drunk on the glory of the winter sun, the simple joy of being alive, and a frightening amount of booze. Sales are up over 25%. Fiction, non-fiction and children’s book sales have all had double-digit increases and, while it’s always nice to see the children grow, the clear winner was non-fiction, which is up a whopping 34%. Not a word of lie there.
